With the National Classification in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, Leon's team had their innovation project, HealthTech, featured in the largest Brazilian abstract booklet for STEM projects. The booklet has reached more than 100,000 professionals, students, and enthusiasts.
readRaised solely by his mother, grandmother, aunts, and cousins, Leon never forgot the tireless steps his family took to overcome the poverty of the Northeast Sertão. Now in better conditions, he voluntarily gives back all the creative influence he had!
Leon is descended from Indigenous and Black peoples who led their freedom from monarchical grasp. His grandmother is recognized as the Centenarian Matriarch of the Black Baianas—granted to a few Black women, representing Afro-Brazilian culture, a title that reinforces the plurality, leadership, and love for the community that inspire Leon!

Leon led the first robotics team to become champions and qualify at the National level in Feira de Santana, the second largest city in Bahia!
